I went to Kagoshima last week(26-28/Sep.) on business.
Kagoshima is in the most south of Kyusyu. The Kyusyu Shinkansen(Bullet train) has been started. So it is easy access to get the Kagoshima, but I went to there by LCC Peach airline. Because Peach airline is very reasonable than railways.
By the way, there is a big volcano in Kagoshima. It’s called SAKURAJIMA. We could see the beautiful mountain from Kagoshima down town. But that volcano erupted two times during I stayed in there. (The mountain has erupted more than 5,000 times since 1955. That means very active mountain) The mountain makes clouds of ash. And some volcanic ash had accumulated in down town. So it was dusty in Kagoshima. Nobody hanged their laundry out side.
In the photo above, volcanic ash was collected in everywhere.
But I like Kagoshima, because there is a lot of hot springs, and we could enjoy local foods, Kuro-Buta(pork), Kagoshima Ramen(noodels), Sho-Chu(distilled alcole) and fresh sea foods. Actually, after business in Kagoshima, I went to Ibusuki and enjoyed hot springs.
