We went to Ohita by ferry boat with my wife and my mother. After arriving at Ohita port, we got on the express train for Hita. Hita is located in west of Ohita Prefecture and it is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Ohita station by train. That town is surrounded mountains, and borders the neighbouring prefectures of Fukuoka, and Kumamoto.
We picked rent a car up at Hita station, and went to Ohnta in Hita city. Ohnta is 30 minutes from Hita downtown. The pottery called “Ohnta-yaki”is made here. There are ten pottery factory in Ohnta. These pottery factory's provide really good pottery's. They keep old style making pottery's. So that means no machines in factory. All pottery's were made by their hands.
