My wife's parents arrived at Yamagata airport around 8:30AM. "Welcome to Yamagata"
And then we went to ZAO Onsen ski resort. We stayed this Japanese style hotel.
This hotel was established 298 years ago. The outside was really old style, but the inside was clean and comfortable. This hotel what is Japanese style building. provides Tatami rooms, good local meals, and good hot springs. It was high class hotel. We had never stayed like this high class hotels before.
After lunch time, we finally went to ski center. In this time, my wife, her father and I went to skiing. Her mother didn't ski, she stayed at ski center with restaurant and coffee shop. My wife's father has been skiing before, about 40 years ago! I couldn't image his skiing... (Ski equipment was changed..). He took a chair lift without any problems.
He sometimes fell down in first skiing, but he could remember how to ski after few times taking chair lifts. I thought he is good skier. We finally took a gondola lift for top of mountain. it was great. We just skied for 2 hours. After skiing, we enjoyed hot springs and Japanese style dinner. It was great experience.
