USA(2014) 6 Chicago

After two hours boarding, we landed at MDW(Chicago Midway) airport around 3PM. Why, MDW airport?, because we choosed SouthWest airline. This flight company doesn't use ORD(Chicago O'Hare) airport. MDW airport is hub from SouthWest airline.

And then we headed to our hotel in Chicago downtown by subway, Orange Line.

In the photo above, in downtown. Here's safty place, Michigan Ave.

We arrived at our hotel around 4PM. At the time, it was just 1 hour until We'd be entering the Wrigley Field. After check in the hotel, we went to Regly field for watching baseball game, Cubs against Brewers.

I've been interested in this stadium, because I heard it has a long history and really beautiful. Actually, this stadium was built 1917, so this year is celebrating the 100th anniversary. I was really happy, when we could come here.

There is a unique old style score board.

And this stadium is famous for its outfield wall what is covered by ivy. It's really beautiful.

By the way, that day's starter of Cubs was Tuyoshi WADA.

He had been excellent pitcher in SoftBank Hawks, Japan. He got the right free agent from Hawks, and decided to try MLB three years ago. He finally got the contract to Baltimore. Nobody had any doubt that he would get there as starter in MLB. When he was in first pre-season game, however, he got big problem his elbow. Finally, he got surgery. This was a big problem for him, but it didn't stop him from returning to mound. After his contract with Baltiomre finished with no game in two years, and he signed a minor contract with Chicago Cubs in 2014. It's minor contract. After his hard rehab, he got a lot of win in minor league in 2014, and then he was called up to big league in July, 2014. I think this amazing story of his comeback is really good. I want to support him and I was happy, because we had a chance to see his pitching in Chicago.

In that game, WADA allowed five hits, including two homer, and just two runs in seven innings, and he got the secound win in MLB. Congratulations! Thanks to really kind and friendly Cubs fans next to us, we had a good time in Regly field. Thank you very much.
