We went to Katsuura, Wakayama for sight-seen last weekend. We started our trip boarding JR express train “Kuroshio”. Actually, we bought Wakayama Pass. It was really reasonable, because it cost me eight thousand yen, with round trip tickets from Kyoto to Katsuura, including express fee, and we could use express without limit between Wakayama station and Shingu station.
Our first destination was Yuasa where is located sourthan Wakayama city. It took two hours to get there from Osaka by JR express “Kuroshio”. Yuasa wasn't too big town, so you could go around to see by on foot. There is a historic district in Yuasa town. And this town is also known the birthplace of soy sauce. Soy sauce was first made here about 750 years ago. It was discovered the liquid produced in the making of Miso. Soy sauce where is making in Yuasa, is not big business, because it has continued to produce traditional making process. They couldn't make a lot of Soy sauce. However taste is really rich and nice. I liked it.
After Yuasa town, we went to Katsuura hot spring resort. This town is located sourthan part of Wakayama prefecture. It took more two hours from Yuasa to get there. It's far, but it's a nice town, because there is a lot of good hot springs, nice view point, seaside, and we could enjoy fresh seafood's.
We stayed the seaside hotel with hot springs. We enjoyed hot spring and seafood's in dinner. It was nice staying.
There are many sightseeing spot in Wakayama prefecture. It was impressive place, I think.
