We went to Furano in Hokkaido during GW vacation. Furano city is located the center of Hokkaido, and two hours from Sapporo by car. We visited the Furano for skiing. The temperature got –4 degrees at the Furano ski resort, and finally it had heavy snow on 30, April. We could enjoy skiing on the powder snow!
Next day, it was fine day and the temperature went up to over 10 degrees in the afternoon. The snow condition on the ski runs got bad, but there was still a lot of snow for skiing and snowboarding. ( I saw the news, most ski resorts in Honsyu gave up their operation, because the lack of snow)
