We went to Lake Biwa Canal Museum of Kyoto on last Saturday, and Osaka sewerage Science Museum on last Sunday. We're now interested in waterworks.
In Kyoto, we learned a lot about the Lake Biwa Canal. I was really surprised. It was constructed more than 120 years ago. This canal is for the way of tap water and industrial water, also back then it was the waterway for freights and passengers from Otsu to Kyoto. It was really interesting.
In Osaka, we learned a lot about sewer system. It was good experience. The admissions for both museums were free, because they are operated by the municipal authorities. I felt that something is missing, because they are not large museum. I’d like to visit a large museum and learn a lot about waterworks.
