Munenori Kawasaki is a professional baseball player who is 36 years old. He played for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks last season. I like his playing style, because he is a pretty good player. His defense is amazing and he's a clutch hitter. Plus, he never give up for everything.
However, he injured his achilles tendon last July and did rehabilitation the rest of the baseball season. The Hawks went to post season and finally got to the Nippon champion, but he couldn't play with them in the playoffs and Nippon Series games. Fukuoka Softbank Hawks want's to make a contract with him in 2018. But, he didn't sign contract with the Hawks, because he was in the hospital. According to news reports, he has Autonomic nervous system (also known as Dysautonomia). So, he decided to leave the team, he is likely to retire.
In Japan, he played 12 years in Fukuoka and his record is 1,187 games, 1,376 hits, 27 HR, 373 RBI and 108 stolen base. Plus, he tried also the MLB and spent five seasons in Seattle, Toronto and Chicago. His best season in the MLB was in the 2013 season with Toronto. He became a fan favorite and baseball fans supported his record and his interview's in English without a transrater. It was really nice. He was loved by his team mates, team staffs and all the baseball fans. I hope he is getting better and he will come back to the baseball field in the future.
