To tell the truth, I went to Phoenix Arizona last week, so I had a holiday just one week. My trip started by boarding Asiana airline for Seoul on Monday March 4th from Osaka and changed airplanes twice before arriving at Phoenix international airport. Around 3 PM on Monday, I landed at Phoenix airport and then picked up a rental car. Finally I got to the Best western hotel in north Phoenix after 24 hours later after I left my home in Shiga. It's a long way, however I was really fine because I slept well and was relaxed during my flights.
On the next morning, March 5th, I headed by rental car to Pioria sports complex which is spring training home facilities of Seattle Mariners and Sandiego Padres. I watched the Mariners batting practice in the morning and I enjoyed the pre season game, Mariners against Padres in the afternoon. My main objective was to watch Japanese outfielder Ichiro Suzuki who is a super star player in MLB. I was happy and lucky, because I could see Iciro playing in the practices and the game. I understand he didn't get a major contract with Seattle this season and it's not easy for us to watch him playing in the big league after April. I hope he has a good season this year.
By the way, some Japanese players play in Phoenix but I didn't have an opportunity to see them this time. I hope that I come to Phoenix to see spring training again someday. Good luck, everyone!
