Statistical data with the COVID-19

Last Sunday, I watched one of my favorite players, Shohei Ohtani hit his 23rd homerun for the Angels in front of a sold out crowed. I was very surprised both by his amazing performance and by the fact that the stadium was full of fans without masks. So, I checked website the Coronavirus statistical data from the Johns Hopkins University in the US yesterday. According to their data, in the US, the worst number of people infected with COVID-19 was 300,462 people per day, but it was just 3,892 people yesterday. The number of infected people per 100,000 in the population was 1.3 in the US. I think the pandemic has abated due to the vaccinations. On the other hand, in Japan, the peak number of people infected with COVID-19 was 7,957 people per day, but it was 1,308 people yesterday. In the same way, the number of infected people per 100,000 population was 1.0 in Japan. Now, the vaccination rates are 53% of people in the US and 16% in Japan. I hope the rate in Japan will get better soon and we get back normal as soon as possible.
