We went to Tohoku during GW. Actually, I went to Sendai, Miyagi prefecture by ferry boat with my car by myself on 29th/April. I visited Fukushima on business. After Fukushima, I went back Sendai, and picked my wife up at Sendai airport on 2nd/May. And then we went to skinng in Fukushima and Yamagata prefecture.
It was really cold during GW in mountain side of Tohoku. It had a little snow on ski resorts area. It was still winter in mountain. But, in the bottom, we felt springs has come, because we could see the cherry bloosam in the bottom. They said the cherry blossom season is one week later than usual this year in Tohoku.
It was a really nice atmosphere in the Ura-Bandai area, we could enjoy skiing at mountain side and taking good hot springs at the bottom of mountain. We had a great time in Yamagata and Fukushima prefecture.
