For starter's, we had to work last Saturday, so we couldn't go skiing. And on Sunday, we had the day off, so we went to Yogo Kogen ski resort in Shiga prefecture. It was a one day trip. This ski resort is located north of the Shiga prefecture. It took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes from my home in Kusatsu by car. Not bad.
The Yogo Kogen ski resort is not too big, but the snow condition was good on Sunday. That Saturday evening, it rained near the Yogo Kogen ski resort, then the rain changed into snow during the night. Around 15 cm of snow fell over night. So we enjoyed fresh powdery snow on Sunday. It was pretty good. Even though it's Mid-December, there's more snow than usual even in Shiga. I don't know why.
Next week, we're planning to visit Nagano for skiing. I can't wait to go skiing.
