We went to Takigawa in Hokkaido for skiing last weekend. Our destination was the Kamoidake Ski resort in Takigawa. It's located in central Hokkaido. First, we flew Chitose from Osaka by JAL. Then we needed to take a train from Chitose to Iwamizawa. After that, we picked up the rental car there. Finally we got Takigawa without any problems, but it was so far.. Kamoidake is not a big ski resort, however the snow condition was pretty good. The ski resort staffs said to me, we have more snow than usual. It was good for skiers!
We stayed at the Green Park Shin-Totsukawa hotel near Takigawa town for one night. This hotel has Tatami rooms and natural hot springs. Plus, this hotel provides reasonable staying plans now, because winter is the off season in Hokkaido. It was good for skiers. We enjoyed the powdery snow and hot springs there. Well, we've started our official ski season. We're planning to go skiing next week too.
