We went to Taiwan because last week was a long weekend and got the free flight tickets with mileage. We left Osaka Kansai airport on Thursday night and stayed just one night in Taipei. We started our trip in Taiwan by boarding a bullet train from Taipei to Taichung. We looked around in the down town area and enjoyed lunch there. Taichung is really large and has a big population, approximately 2.7 million people. In fact we felt the city was very lively, because we saw many people, cars and motor bikes down town.
Around 3PM, we boarded the bus for Guguan from Taichung station. Guguan is east of Taichung and we got there after a 2 hour bus ride. Guguan is located in the mountains and there are really good hot springs. We stayed at Utopia Holiday hotel one night and took a hot spring bath 4 times a day. Guguan hot springs was really a nice place for relaxing, I’d like to stay there again someday.
