We went to Hongu in Wakayama prefecture last weekend. Hongu is located in the southern part of Wakayama and surrounded by deep mountains. We stayed there one night and enjoyed nice riverside viewing, shopping and hot springs. We bought soy sauces, fresh tuna, fresh bonito and Kumano beef. Wakayama is the birthplace of the Japanese soy sauce. I can’t wait to try them. There are many high mountains, lovely seaside, beautiful rivers and a lot of natural hot springs in Wakayama. I like it there and I want to visit once a year at least.
