Nagoya is east of Oasaka, Kansai and it’s just 50 minutes by bullet train. After we finished work, we headed to Nagoya to watch an interleague baseball game, the Chunichi Dragons versus the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters at Nagoya dome stadium. I don’t know much about the Dragons, because I usually don’t follow the team. Plus, some regular members didn’t play in the game and so the young players started. We had a good time there, because we enjoyed the Nagoya food and the exciting game. The Fighters won!
The next day, we headed to Nagahama city in Shiga prefecture and met my friend who came from Fukuoka. We had a lunch there and enjoyed grilled Ayu fish and Biwa trout Sashimi. They were absolutely delicious. I want to come back again to Nagahama just to eat this food.
After lunch, we boarded a ship for Chikubu Island in Lake Biwa. Nobody lives on this island, but there is a shrine and a temple. They are very beautiful and historical wooden buildings. I think it’s the best place to relax and enjoy the landscape in Shiga.
