Last weekend was a short one because my wife had work and I had many things to do last Saturday. We originally planned to leave on Sunday morning and visit Meiho Kogen in Gifu for skiing, but that ski resort was closed due to lack of snow last weekend, so we needed to change our plan. Finally we decided to go to Nagano for skiing and after my wife's work on Saturday evening, I picked her up in Osaka and headed to Iida in the south of Nagano by car. Around 9 PM we arrived at a hotel in Iida and stayed just one night. The next morning, we headed to Takayama ski resort in Nagawa town in central Nagano prefecture. This area had not enough snow for skiing however it has a high altitude and low temperature so Takayama ski resort used a snow making machines. There was a 100 % artificial snow on the ski runs and a good thing about this was that you can ski in December, but its weakness was that it hard and uncomfortable on the ski runs. Actually, after two hours skiing, I got tired and a little bit painful feeling on my right knee because it was a really hard surface on the ski runs. About lunch time we finished our skiing and headed to Suwa town and enjoyed Soba noodles and hot springs there. I didn't want to go back home at that time because I work out by skiing, we enjoyed good foods and hot springs so we had a really good time there. We'll skip our skiing next weekend because we have a neighborhood meeting on Sunday…. That's too bad.
