Last weekend, we visited Miyazaki prefecture and enjoyed baseball games and the local food. Our trip started aboard the ferry boat from Kobe port. It is an overnight ferry and we arrived at the port of Miyazaki on Saturday morning. We headed to the Ivy baseball stadium in Miyazaki city and watched a baseball game, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters versus Chunichci Dragons. This was not a regular season game. Admission was free for anyone who wanted to see the games. Now, the Phoenix Baseball League takes place there during October after the regular season is over. Basically, young players join this league, because they need the opportunity to play. I like watching them play and practice and I hope they are improving.
After the game, we went back to Miyazaki downtown and enjoyed food. Miyazaki is famous for sea food, Shochu and locally raised chicken. We love this chicken and I highly recommend it.
