We stayed in Leeds on the 12th of August and on the next morning we boarded the train which left 7:48 for Carlisle. This train was operated by the Settle Carlisle railway for 72miles. They say this line is one of England's most scenic railways because Yorkshire Dales national park is on the rail side. Actually from the train we could see a beautiful view of the England landscape and also see so many sheep, cows and horses on the hill. After a 3 hour train ride we arrived at Carlisle and changed trains for Liverpool. Around 2 PM we checked in to the hotel in Liverpool and then we headed to Royal Albert Dock by train. This area is the best sightseeing place in Liverpool because there are some museums, historic buildings and the Beatles shop. We enjoyed walking around the riverside dock , Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Beatles shop, plus we learned about slavery in the UK at the International Slavery Museum in Albert Dock. I didn't know that slavery was in the UK before and it is very important to learn the history. I think everyone should visit this museum when you come to Liverpool.
By the way, I heard beers in England are very nice so I wanted to try beer in Liverpool, however, when we visited there it was really cold and I needed another jackets. Finally I decided to go to an Italian restaurant so we tried a wine and pasta there. I enjoyed an imported wine but Italian pasta was not good. I want to try a pasta in Italy.
