Everyday there're news about Coronavirus all over the world. Now the number of people infected with Coronavirus is increasing every day in Japan. The Japanese government decided to cancel all primary school, junior high school and high school classes. Plus, it requested all events be cancelled for the next two weeks. Some sports, like Sumo tournaments or preseason games of baseball will be taking place without spectators. Actually, technical meetings and ceremonies in March were canceled for me. I understand it can't be helped for a while. I hope that the spread of coronavirus infections will finish soon. Of course, I avoid crowded places, but as of now I go to my office everyday by train on weekdays and go to ski resorts with my wife by car every weekend.
Coronavirus is invisible because it's a very small size virus. You could see it by using an electron microscope. Since you can't see it, we are more worried about infection of Coronavirus. This virus is detected by PCR methods and it takes a long time for one sample, so this method can't keep up with requests for inspections of Coronavirus infections. It's a big problem, I think. I hope a new method is developed soon.
