スキー、野球と温泉が大好きです。

Last weekend in Nagano

We headed to Gifu by car on last Saturday morning and visited the Naito museum of pharmaceutical science and industry. This museum is operated by the pharmaceutical company Eisai which was founded by Toyoji Naito in 1941. We learned a lot about the history of medicine and Eisai. The museum exhibits were interesting, but pharmaceutics is difficult for me to understand.

After Gifu, we headed to Kiso-Fukushima in Nagano and stayed there one night. We enjoyed the hot springs and joined the lecture online by Munenori Kwasaki who is a baseball player. He once played for Fukuoka in Japan and for Seattle, Toronto and Chicago in the big league. He is still on the active roster in the Japanese independent baseball league. His talk was very interesting and we learned a lot about baseball, coaching and his career. We had a good time there.

On the next morning, we visited the Kaida MIA ski resort in Ontake and enjoyed skiing in the morning. Kaida doesn’t have much snow, but due to its high altitude, the temperature was very low. So, right now the snow on the ski run was 100% artificial snow. We enjoyed skiing there last Sunday. I hope it snows soon in the ski resorts next weekend.
