We took a ski trip to Nagano last weekend and there was a lot of snow. The powerful cold winds from Russia came to Japan last Thursday and finally we had heavy snow fall. Some places had over 80 cm of fresh snow in one night. Of course, we enjoyed the powdery snow at the ski resorts. However, the CAT tour in YAMABOKU Wild Snow Park ski resort was canceled, because the CAT couldn’t drive safety on the slopes due to the super heavy snow. I think that was very unfortunate and we wanted to go. This ski resort has the CAT tour only every Saturday and brings us to the edge of the ski resort. We can ski virgin slopes using the CAT and only ten skiers or snowboarders can join the tour. It’s a real heaven for us. The tours this winter are fully booked, so we will try to join next season. Instead of YAMABOKU, we went to Madarao and Nozawa Onsen ski resorts and enjoyed the well-groomed ski slopes there. It was fun!
