We stayed home last weekend for the first time in about four months. We were originally planning to go Wakasa stadium in Kyoto to watch the baseball game, but we had heavy rain last Saturday and it was really cold on Sunday, so we changed our plans for last weekend. This weekend, we're planning to go Tateyama mountain in Toyama to ski. So now we're getting ready for our trip next Saturday. We are going to need helmets, safety beacons, snow probes, shovels and snowshoes, plus we have to learn how to use the beacons. Actually, this trip isn't backcountry skiing, but the Toyama prefecture requires skiers to use this equipment in the Tateyama area, because there is no avalanche control! I hope the weather is nice this weekend. I can't wait to visit Tateyama mountain.
