A state of emergency has been declared in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Aichi, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Okayama and Okinawa prefectures at this time. However, the number of infected people has not decreased now and finally the Japanese government has decided to extend the lockdown. There’re pros and cons to this policy. I think that also the Tokyo Olympic games will be postponed until next year by the Japanese government. Since we are now experiencing the fourth wave of the Corona pandemic, I don’t think it’s good for either the Japanese public or the Olympic athletes to go on with the Games.
