I got the Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury to my right knee, while skiing last month. My doctor and I was planning to have surgery the end of this month. In fact, I went to Shimogamo Hospital in Kyoto for a medical examination before my surgery yesterday. I took an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) first thing in the morning and then I saw the doctor. He's a orthopedic and his field of expertise is the knee. He said that I need surgery for a 100% recovery but right now I can't have surgery, because the muscle around my right knee is losing and I can't stretch or bend my right leg easily. In this condition, if I have surgery, it would be really tough for my rehabilitation. Finally, my doctor and I decided to put a hold on the surgery. Plus, instead of my surgery, I'm going to visit the hospital for rehabilitation, three times a week for a while. That is really trying me.
