Last weekend, we took a ski trip to Nagano and enjoyed skiing and the hot springs. There is an amazing Japanese sweets shop in Shimo-Suwa town in Nagano prefecture. We bought some Wagashi, (Traditional Japanese sweets) there and we enjoyed them very much. These sweets were very good, because they have a very delicate taste, not too sweet or too strong. Plus, they go well with traditional Japanese green tea, (Macha). Japanese people enjoy Wagashi and Macha at the same time. My favorite type of Wagashi is a red bean paste covered with rice cake! I hope that I can buy some next weekend too.
